The Preschool

Peter Rabbit has been operating for over 60 years. The pre-school is a small,family orientated service catering for 20 children each day aged between 3 - 6 years. 
Our pre-school is community-based and run by a Parent Committee.

Hours

9am – 3pm Daily
The pre-school is closed for all Public and School holidays.

Fees

Daily fee - $40.00 per day (subject to change each year)

Waiting List Fee - $22.00 (non-refundable)

Reservation Fee - $150.00 (payable within 1 week of a position being offered).

Maintenance Levy - $50 (payable with Term 1 Fees). This is a deposit returned after the completion of 4 jobs during the pre-school year.

Child Care Benefit – we are a Registered Service and CCB can be claimed from the Family Assistance Office, if you are eligible.

Pre-school Program

Our pre-school offers a safe home-like environment which supports the individual needs of families and children and always encourages open communication.

A positive, stimulating atmosphere will be provided and activities will be based on children’s interests and needs as well as their developmental stage and learning style. All activities will be planned to develop children’s interests and extend on existing skills. 

The pre-school provides a play-based programme in which children are free to choose from areas of interest to participate in, both as individuals and as part of a group.

Sharing and co-operating will be encouraged by the staff and positive guidance techniques will be used to enhance children’s feelings of self worth.
