Community Involvement
Peter Rabbit is a community pre-school and as such it encourages each family whose child attends the pre-school to become involved in the pre-school. Parents can become involved by joining the management and social fundraising committee. Those who are unable to join can still support the pre-school by helping out at fundraising events, working bees and by completing various housekeeping and gardening tasks throughout the year. By joining the committee the parents not only have a vote as to the management of the pre-school but they aslo have a chance to meet other parents and thus form friendships that could last for many years.
Centre Management
The pre-school is managed by a parent committee elected annually from and by the parent body. The committee is responsible for sound fiscal management of the pre-school and attends to matters relating to government funding, regulations and licensing, as well as ensuring all legal requirements pertaining to the running of the pre-school are adhered to. The committee together with the director make decisions on how the pre-school is run and what improvements and changes can be made to make it a better environment for the attending children.
