Daily Routine

  

9:00 - 9:30  

Arrival

Children arrive at pre-school.  Free play.

9:30 - 10:00

Free play  

In the warmer months the day starts outside while in the cooler months the day starts indoors.

10:00 - 10:30

Progressive Morning Tea

Allowing progressive morning tea gives children appropriate time to conclude their play and not to be rushed while working.

10:30 - 11:00

Group time

Children are encouraged to be part of musical and language based experiences and  these are orientated around group interests.   Any questions on our “wondering wall” are discussed at this time.  Any special events or shows will take place at this time.

11:00 - 12:00

Free play

During the warmer months, the children move inside, while in the colder months the children will move outside for play.

12:00 - 12:30

Progressive Lunch

12:30 - 14:00

Quiet play indoors

In term 1 and 2 the younger group is encouraged to have a rest.  The children who are no longer resting are given quiet time such as reading books.  Children in the older group contine with projects started earlier on in the day.

14:00 - 14:30

Group time

Music/language based experiences which include story time and poetry, finger-play, discussions on areas of interest, educational games, music, movement, dance, song and much more.

14:30 - 15:00

Pick up time

  

By changing the time of day children spend in and outdoors the pre-school ensures that the children can enjoy outside play in the fresh air at the optimum time of day.
